(Cheviot, OH) The Drama Workshop presents the acclaimed Stephen Sondheim review “Putting it Together” at The Glenmore Playhouse, 3716 Glenmore Avenue, Cheviot. Performances run December 5 through December 21.
A humorous, poignant and sophisticated musical review, “Putting it Together” is a celebration of the stage and screen work of multiple Tony Award-winner Stephen Sondheim, the foremost theatrical composer and lyricist of our time. Putting It Together weaves a lyrical story around the emotions and relationships of five guests attending a Manhattan holiday cocktail party, studded with material from a number of Sondheim’s original musicals and films including “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”, “Anyone Can Whistle”, “Company”, “Follies”, “A Little Night Music”, “Sweeney Todd”, and “Into the Woods”.
“Putting it Together” is directed by Adam Drake, with musical and vocal direction by Linda Abbott, and is produced by Ray Persing. This fast-paced 30-song show features the talents of , and features Robin Baker, Stephen Cox, Cynthia Mottel, David Radtke, and Bree Sprankle.
Performances will be at 8 p.m. Dec. 5, Dec. 6, Dec. 12, Dec. 13, Dec. 19, and Dec. 20, and 2 p.m. on Dec. 7, Dec. 14, and Dec. 21.
“Putting it Together” contains some mild adult language and may not be suitable for younger patrons.
