The Drama Workshop is thrilled to open the hilarious farce, UNNECESSARY FARCE, this coming Friday, February 26. Performances are three consecutive weekends, with 8 pm performances Friday and Saturday evenings (2/26, 2/27, 3/4, 3/5, 3/11, 3/12), with a Sunday matinee at 2 pm (2/28, 3/6, 3/13). The show closes on March 13.
You like slamming doors? We got them – eight of them.
You like inept cops? We got those too – expertly played by Ashley Boehm, a founding member of The Middle Child improvisation group, and multiple Orchid-award winner Glenn Schaich.
You like Scottish accents? We have one that belongs to the amazing Kevin Noll – who’ll also play you a song on the bags that blears the eye!
How about pretty girls! Yep, we got you covered there too – with the lovely Meagan Blasch, who somehow can’t seem to keep her clothes on (remember, it’s a farce, folks!)
Round it out with a cowardly security agent played by the incomparable Chris Bishop, and the sweet, lovable, but not-quite-what-they-seem couple of Joe Ward and Mary Benken playing the mayor and his wife, and you have a recipe for an evening of non-stop laughter.
The show’s production team includes Ray Persing (Producer/Director/Scenic Design/Construction), Tobie Braverman (Stage Manager), Gretchen Gantner (Costumes/Tickets/Box Office), Jason Cox (Sound), Dennis Murphy (Lighting Design), Valeria Amburgey (Props), Elaine Volker (Decor/Program), Betsy Obermeyer (Scenic Painting/Lobby Display), Mikki Schaffner (Photography), Cynthia Mottel (Stagecrew/Dresser), Amy Waldfogle (House Manager), and Michele Fortman (Hospitality).
Tickets for opening weekend are already going fast, and we’re projecting sell-out houses. To order yours now, call the TDW ticket line at 513.598.8303, or order online at www.thedramaworkshop.org.
We’re looking forward to seeing you in Cheviot for UNNECESSARY FARCE!
